Salary: £22,000

Role: Full time (40 hours per week) Ideally Tuesday-Saturday

The Senior Playworker is a vital member of the Thomley team. The role is an exciting and varied position, at the heart of our core services. You will deliver a varied and exciting activity programme for visitors of Thomley. You will be enthusiastic, empathetic and have experience of working with disabled people. The Senior Playworker will contribute to our community fundraising programme and ensure that all aspects of a day at Thomley run safely.

Apprentice Playworker

Weekly wage: £200.00
Working week: 5 days (preferably Tuesday to Saturday) Days include a half an hour lunch break
Total hours per week: 40
Expected duration: 60 weeks
Possible start date: 3rd January 2022
Apprenticeship level: Intermediate – Level 2 (GCSE)

We previously had a very successful apprenticeship role at Thomley and we are now in a position to offer a similar position again. The apprentice playworker role is a full time role, paying above the minimum wage for apprentices. The role will be supporting our services team to deliver play activities to our visitors.

Training provider

ACTIVATE LEARNING

  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner
  • Functional Skills maths and English

Employed in relevant position and hold Level 1(GCSE A*/9 to D/3) maths and English or achieve a minimum of Level 1 on Initial Assessment.

For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 or equivalent.

Casual Cleaners

£9 per hour

The casual cleaner role will clean Thomley’s new camping pods business, on a casual basis. This is a very flexible role with very flexible hours. Busier and more shifts in peak seasons.

Casual Playworkers

Thomley has casual playworkers to help run the day to day activities and provide a fun, varied programme of activities for visitors. The role consists of setting up our site for the day, welcoming visitors and delivering activities throughout the day. We then ask staff to tidy up and get the site ready for the following day. Shifts vary in time and length and are completely flexible, you sign up for the shifts that suit you. These include some term time day shifts (between school hours), Saturday and Sunday work and lots of shifts in school holidays. We have shifts available for an immediate start for successful applicants.
