I started my career in Human Resources, working in the manufacturing and insurance sectors, later requalifying as a marketing professional. I went into general management within the independent mental health sector, gaining experience in the areas of CAMHS, secure services, addiction, eating disorders and general mental health. The last ten years of my working career was spent as Chief Executive of one of the largest providers of specialist residential care homes for adults with brain injuries, autism, learning impairments and mental health needs. I am now retired from full time paid work and undertake occasional consultancy services. I am passionate that disabled people should be enabled to achieve their goals and aspirations.
I am married with two adult children. I am also chairman of my local village hall management committee,a copy writer, a keen amateur genealogist and enthusiastic football supporter (Aston Villa and Brackley Town).
